My most favorite place in Korea. They've begun restoring the entire palace a few years ago, aiming to replace the 60%+ buildings burned during the Japanese Imperial Occupation. They vowed not to use modern building techniques for restoration. This building was the first to be restored.
This is the gate in between the Main Palace Hall and the Main gate. It was burned and torn down by the Japanese to hide the Korean royalty from the general public. On it they built a gigantic government building, aimed at hurting the pride of the koreans by shielding their emperor from view. I took this in August of 2005. it was a beautiful restoration. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
